Wissahickon Watershed
The Wissahickon Watershed is a system of trails spanning 64 square miles in the south east of Pennsylvania. The watershed has worked for over 60 years engaging communities to protect and appreciate the land and waterways of Wissahickon Valley. To increase the usage and appreciation for these beautiful natural spaces, simple solutions such as trail-maps, signage, increased interactive components, and a fun and accessible branding system will help bring more visitors to the trails.
Software used: Figma, Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop

Each color in the system directly correlates with a trail system in the Wissahickon Watershed, making it engaging and easy to determine which trail you're on.

On the trails you can find signage sharing information about wildlife you might see during your walk. The signage has a QR code that you can scan with the Wissahickon Wildlife app for even more information and activities.

The icons work as both decorational and informational elements, for marketing materials as well as signage and way-finding.

The app works as an extension of the signage providing more information about the trails and learning activities. It also gives the user the opportunity to favorite trails that they enjoy to make it more convenient to find them again.
